We’re Mike and Diane, and we’re so glad you’ve found your way to Lukoli Commons. Our dream for this community comes from both our personal lives and our professional experiences.

Diane spent many years as an ER Nurse Practitioner, where she saw the struggles families face as their loved ones age, especially during health challenges. She also walked alongside her own parents in their aging journey and realized how few people truly get to enjoy their later years with purpose, joy, and connection. Through her research, she discovered senior co-housing and became convinced it’s one of the best ways to age well and live fully.

Mike’s perspective comes from watching his father and father-in-law spend their retirement years with very little social interaction. Now retired himself, he understands how important it is to plan ahead—for health changes, yes, but also for friendship, fun, and support. He believes community brings freedom and peace, knowing neighbors are right at your doorstep, ready to share life together.
